Skincare Rituals for Flawless, Glowing Skin This Summer

Skin troubles are typical in every season, just in different avatars. Check-in an online cosmetic store, and you will see many products for specific seasons – dealing with particular skin concerns. I believe that there is no such thing as all-season-applicable skincare products. Just like one shoe doesn’t fit all sizes, not all beauty products suit all skin types and conditions. For example, even oil-free products are not suitable for oily skin (opposite common misconception among people) because they take away necessary hydrating ingredients, making your skin more dehydrated.

Here, you need to learn the difference between dry skin (skin type) and dehydrated skin (a skin condition). Well, we will discuss it some other day. Today, this piece of writing is all about getting and maintaining perfect skin all summer long.

Move your skincare routine from To-Do to Done!

The wear and tear of your skin are more of a summer thing. Embracing the heat and harmful rays is not easy for facial skin in particular because it is the most exposed part of our body. You cannot keep it covered for a prolonged period, like wearing a cardigan and long shoes to prevent cold and drenching winters from walloping you. So let’s dive a bit into some mandatory summer rituals to get flawless skin with a perfect glow and charm.

Stay moisturized & hydrated:

By hydration, I don’t mean drinking a lot of water like mad. Well, you should take enough fluids to keep your body hydrated and energetic because it is one of the biggest health concerns in summers. In a skincare routine, hydration means maintaining enough sebum (aka oil) to avoid flaking and cracking your skin. It means you need oil-rich skin care products. Use moisturizers even if your skin is oily because you may be damaging your skin while attempting the preventive measures to keep the oil away. You can layer facial serums and moisturizers to get your skin moisturized and hydrated.

Throw away those dead cells:

Keep exfoliating generously (and regularly but not daily) even if you don’t feel like doing it. Yes, people facing the dryness issue think that scrubs and even organic exfoliators can make their skin more dried out. Let’s debunk the myth. After exfoliation, always moisturize your skin. Exfoliators only remove the dead skin cells which actually make your skin appear dull and dry. Moreover, it increases blood circulation, and most people know how beneficial it is for a healthy lifestyle. Scrubbing at least twice a week is vital for a healthy glow on your skin.

Choose the right sunscreen:

I personally do not like stuffing the face with a lot of products. But, sunscreen in summer is necessary to prevent premature aging. Yes, you can use anti aging cream, but usually, you cannot carry it the whole day (it is more of a nightly skincare thing). Remember, it is not only for summers. You can keep using it during the winter because it actually protects the skin from potential sunburns and inflammation. So, never step out without sunscreen and lip balm, even if it is cloudy outside. Don’t underestimate summer and its harmful impact on your skin and overall health regardless of the overcast days.

Face masks for summer glam:

Your skincare routine should not be void of facial masks to protect and heal your skin while maintaining its natural glow. Determine your skin type and get the relevant mask. For example, a clay mask works great for oily skin to absorb oil and blur pores (common with oil-prone skin), while charcoal masks help reboot completion. Use hydrating facial masks for your dry skin to retain moisture. Likewise, you can use cream masks for more soft and supple skin.

Last but not least is long-lasting makeup coverage. So, always choose the right formula that’s less creamy and hence, more enduring to sweat and heat during summer.

Final Thoughts:

Summer days are harsh and killing; we all know that. So, take suitable and consistent care of yourself from head to toe. Good and healthy skin in any season means well-hydrated and well-moisturized skin. Get the right skincare and beauty products at affordable cost from glowqueen.pk.
